Yes but for people who would like to relocate to New York fir work and for families who look for an appartment, that will mean more affordable housing won't it? I hope these laws are implemented right away!

Everybody just going to ignore ALL THE EMPTY HI-RISES IN NYC!!!
AND ALL THE APTMT WAREHOUSING going on in NYC HOUSING AUTHORITY! NYCHA just leased its property to private developers 99 years, then own them!

If the city didn't have rent control there would be a lot more rentals people are sick and tired of government overreach why don't you just leave everyone alone close the border and everyone would be happy

Cry me a river, the handwriting was on the wall. No one wants random people perusing their neighborhood. Fewer accommodations ha, did we forget about hotels. Adapt and evolve or fall by the waste-side.

Any stay over 30 days will give you an instant Squatter that you can't get out for 1-2 years.

There not fewer accomodations, there are a lot of hotels. Every city you go to in europe has started to crack down on AirBnB, because it takes away apartments that the people that work on the city needs. If all the workers have to move to the suburbs, who is going to be serving food, making drinks, working the museums, buses, hospitals, etc.

When did the city get to tell property owners what they are allowed to do with what they own???? I think it’s time to remove them from office

Imagine these home owners allowing NYC to not apply these same laws all other short term corporate hotel chains. Imagine not using your 2nd amendment to stop this corruption

Like Airbnb is not totally biased and could care less about anything but their ability to make money. Its a good law that protects neighbors and neighborhoods.
