THE MACABRE AVATARS OF NYARLATHOTEP - LOVECRAFT MYTHOLOGY

Nyarlathotep is one of the most terrifying and strange entities in the mythology created by Lovecraft. Called "the soul and messenger" of the Outer Gods, he fulfills tasks on behalf of the Ancients having free access to all dimensions and planes of existence. The blasphemous Court of Azathoth, located at the center of the Universe, depends on Nyarlathotep who provides everything that is necessary for the Demon Sultan and his retinue. Known as "The Crawling Chaos", Nyarlathotep is an intermediary between the Ancients and their cultists.

Scholars of the Myths have different opinions regarding the relationship of the Outer God with humanity. Unlike most of the entities of the Myths, who care little or not at all about humanity, the Chaos shows special interest in the human race. On several occasions he would have presented himself before chosen people bringing gifts, whether these are magic or scientific knowledge. Infallibly these gifts lead to a spiral of madness and destruction.

I believe that the name should be pronounced as Nyarl - hotep due to the fact he is sometimes referred to as The Black Pharoah.
