New retail worker guy has been smiling and not acting like a human
He should get a raise tbh

Yeah this is so relatable! Like how whenever I enter a store there is always a guy saying ”hello, this is a store”

"You call your mom recently?"
"Yeah"
"How's she doing?"
"She's fine"
"Yeah she is"
That caught me off guard so much! 😂

I've literally had the "email address" "No" "Okay but I need an email address" conversation before. My response was "No, you don't." but it was like they had something to prove. Eventually I just said "Look either pretend I literally don't have an email or I'll just leave without buying anything." Turns out I actually didn't need to give an email.

I think he nailed it. "They have now endeavored to become Inconvenience stores".

You forgot the part when the cashier asks if the costumer would like to donate money to a children's hospital

This along with your pitch meetings is honestly my favourite comedy content on YouTube.

The INTENSITY of Cashier Ryan when he said "Joey is the funniest Friend!" has me in stitches. And then the "would you still love me if I was a worm" absolutely wheezing

I worked at Sears in the last days of it being not 100% dead. Their obsession with the rewards program was insane. They wanted 95% of transactions to be rewards. They were literally writing people up over it. And yeah, they definitely wanted people to do the "that's ok, I just need your email" routine.

I love how the employee immediately rejects the possibility of a person genuinely having a lion as their spirit animal lmao so true

I worked retail for like 8 years... This is accurate. Right down to the sniper. Love you, Steve 🙏🏻

I actually quit a retail job years ago because they required me to push the store credit card on customers, like literally walk around my department with a clipboard and credit application and ask random shoppers if they wanted to sign up. I was just working in the music/movie/software department, I wasn't even selling big stuff like computers, TVs, or refrigerators. A buddy from another department helped me get one sign up, had me put in my number on the form so I would get credit for it, but the next week I didn't get any so my supervisor was like "You got one a couple of weeks ago but none this week, so you must not be trying. Go home today, we don't need you, come back tomorrow" (day off without pay after I already showed up). I didn't stick around long after that.

As an introvert, this is exactly how I view all customer service.

As a retail worker for a unspecified M named company this hits me on an emotional level.

I HATE HAVING TO ASK CUSTOMERS FOR THIS AND I ALSO HATE THE MANAGERS WHO CRITIQUE YOUR SCORECARD FOR ALL THE TIMES CUSTOMERS DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE THEOR PHONE NUMBER OR SIGN UP

Thanks Ryan for one of the most bizarre sketches you've done. It make me do a massive chuckle.

This is too accurate. It's almost like the stores are trying to drive us away.

"Like if you were already a worm when we met or if you turned into a worm, cus- Wait I don't love you now!" together with the shocked gasp was what really got me. 😂

When I worked in retail, I remember having to constantly ask for email addresses for fear the person might be a secret shopper. Also, the company I worked for kept track on how many email addresses we collected each day. Since so many people did not want to give an email address (totally understand BTW), I would create fake email addresses. I do the same when I go to stores that ask me for an email address.
