Six weeks ago I started a golf fitness journey to see how much I could increase my clubhead speed and carry distances by following a golf fitness program alongside SuperSpeed Golf Sticks level one training.

This video is all about my results PLUS a sneak peak at what I’ll be doing in the next six weeks to try and take my clubhead speed and carry distance even further.

I chose to use superspeed sticks because I’ve seen so much about them lately and having always been a relatively short hitter who hasn’t worked on overspeed training, I thought they looked like an easy place to start.

The video contains my honest feedback on the products and the results that are possible - I’m hoping that it helps others out there.

I’m doing a similar thing in that I’ve always been short off the tee and now I’m 54; officially a senior, I’m now even slower. I’ve been using the swing speed sticks and also trying to get a better understanding of the mechanics too and basically practicing regularly, as a result I’m seeing great improvements already within the last month. My driver club head speed was 82mph…shockingly slow…today it was 96mph which is amazing for me…so I can totally relate to how you feel. Finding different areas of the golf course is great fun as I get longer. The sponge things look interesting…I’m very tempted to add them to my training regime

I started out around with 92 mph, after 6 weeks I am at around 98 mph. I also do some strength training but not as much as yours. I hope to gain another 3 to 5 mph club head speed.

if you bring your rt elbow into your rt ribs sooner on the downswing your speed will increase too..(it shortens the distance on the downswing) and...if your club path is off plane a bit it will decrease your speed (streamline your path will speed up your swing speed).

You're on the right track!!! Keep it up! But be careful with those force pads because you could burn up coming back into the atmosphere so fast.

So the way I understand the swing is

1. Your wrists release the club.
2. Your body releases your wrists.

Most people think their body releases the CLUB.

Would you say this sounds about right?
Your body(big muscles) load and unload your wrists and your the club.

Very insightful video, I just have a question in regards to Precision Athletica work out. You seem to have done it at home. Is it body weight oriented? If no; what tools did you buy to do the work out program ? Thanks !

That's huge progress, congrats! I noticed you using the swing speed radar swinging the speed sticks. I'm curious what your peak speeds with swinging the green, blue, and red sticks are vs to where your driver is now? Does the red stick speed fairly closely correlate to driver speed?

You throw your hands at the top, if you could hold that lag in the down swing itll help increase speed
