There is no future for me here on Youtube at this current rate. The treadmill speeds up and I don't have strong or extreme enough opinions to get supported by the youtube algorithm.

It doesn't mean I will give up or stop working, it just means that at this rate there may come a time where this is no longer possible anymore. I will do my best to carry on but sometimes it really is hard.

I love you Tim. I watch almost all your videos. However what I miss most from your videos that I get from others is humour and positivity. I think your videos are one of the best but some other creators make content more enjoyable. I need to balance that otherwise politics would be to pessimistic or even depressing for me.

I think you have it backwards Tim. People don't want opinion. People are sick to death of opinion as news. People watch you specifically because you are less opinion and more news. Everyone reports their opinions as news except you, Philly D and a few others. You report news first and then give your opinion clearly stating that it is just your own opinion.

The reason why people watch you even though they may have already heard about something is because they know with you they will get the whole story without opinion. I would love to get your report on what is going on in the Koreas. Have I heard about it? Of course I have but I know full well that I'm not getting all of the facts from other news sources. From you I know I will get all of the facts. You will give your opinion but only after you've laid out all of the facts and expressly state that what your about to say is just your opinion.

You need to stick to what your are doing. Maybe not on YouTube as they are making harder and harder for fact based news services like yourself. When even Phillip DeFranco is talking about jumping ship you know there is a major problem and it's not that you are doing anything wrong.

Get yourself an agenda other than just an unbiased perspective. Create a series calling out bad reporting or something else you care about. Be the honest, logical opposition to something and make a stand. And BTW, thanks for the compliment.

Tim, you are an honest and honorable young man. Please don't dismiss this for the "young" part. I've found that there are three kinds of people when it comes to work. There are people willing to tear it all down to make a buck. Those who see the value of building. Then there are those who waver indiscriminately between the two. You have the benefit of knowing which of these you want to be now and who you know you couldn't respect being in the future. Be honest. Be you. Find balance in all of it. Do the work and none of it will be without value. Also, always remember, no matter how much I enjoy your work and I do enjoy it hard working people can't view everything we would like to from every content Creator. I'm a huge fan Tim, and I'm a professional middle aged mother who has worked for agencies, tech, and some of those big companies you've been critical of. (Ahem..Amazon, Google) Probably not your core audience. You ARE making a difference. I have friends all over the place and have told them about you and they love you. My Muslim friends. Atheist friends. Young and old. I'm not your typical fan I guess but you helped me through some crap and helped validate a lot of my decisions (I left those companies) and helped me find my voice as a classical liberal surrounded by terrified regressive authoritarians. I used to pledge to you but since my husband lost his job I haven't. You remind me when I was sleeping on friends couches as a hacker and media person and now I really want to support you. Please, PLEASE keep this up. I would do what you do if I didn't now have two kids to support. My oldest daughter is a hacker, a skateboarder, free thinker, and she is inspired by you. She is 10. This is now going to be the 1.959th comment so probably won't hear from you, but I know you work non-stop and please keep fighting. Your work is incredibly valuable, Tim. I love your livestreams when you're on the ground, like at the Count Dankula protest on Monday, because I feel like you're going to show me an accurate picture of what's going on and it'll be as good as being there myself. Your daily videos are also great -- I can always count on you for an even-keeled response to news stories that cuts through the BS and brings up points that make me think. You're valuable as a commentator as well as a reporter because you aren't an ideologue. If I had the extra cash I would be a Patron, unfortunately I can't make it work right now. Ur absolutely right Tim. The dumbed down over the top sensationalist porn (especially the facebook videos with the letter bars that folks like Cernovich grew from) is what sells to the uninformed lowest common denominators and thats where the giant audience is. But at the end of the day creators have to make a choice.

I choose to just be authetic and maintain credibility and integrity rather than pandering to what I think my audience wants. Nobody is perfect however but I appreciate anyone (including yourself) who speaks truth to power especially when itxs not popular or sensational and won't grab a ton of eyeballs but is important nonetheless.

Here's a story for you... Talk about how the cops caught the Golden State Killer and the privacy concerns around it. I'm in genetic genealogy groups and there are people who are very upset about the cops using a public database (GEDmatch) that was intended for genealogy purposes. The question is, should it be possible for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th cousin to essentially give consent to law enforcement in order to look for possible criminals in your family by simply uploading their genealogy results to this website? The techniques LE used to solve this case are similar to the techniques genealogists use to help adoptees find their birth parents. In both cases they are trying to find living people who may not want to be found.

I watch 95% of your videos because I appreciate the greater context that you provide and that you don't taint your reporting with ideology. To be blunt Tim - Your content is VERY useful, impartial international news is important, what its not is fun to watch for most people.

This problem you talk about was the reason for the creation of tabloids historically.

Id suggest you go the patreon route to finance your work. You may also want to consider having a joint channel with other independant journos.

Personally I watch some but not all of your vids depending on the subject matter your reporting on.
