Even though they both sound similiar, the lyrics are very different.

Mocking bird's lyrics are: "it may seem a little crazy pretty baby, but i promise mom is gonna be alright.". While on the other hand, dont want it lyric's are: "they dont want, they dont want it, oh i know everything's gonna be alright." (I believe that is what the lyrics are).

Once you hear the lyrics they dont seem to look the same (kinda). You can see for mocking bird its "mom is gonna be alright" but for dont want it, its "oh i know eveything is gonna be alright".

In my conclusion, dont want it uses the same sample as mocking bird. Or, it juat took some inspo from it.

As much as I love em lil Nas x ain't biting. For one someone can be inspired and use a similar melody as an homage to one of their inspiration and it's not like a person can own a melody or cadence.
