AMAZING THERMAL CAVE BATHS in MISKOLC HUNGARY

These thermal cave baths in Miskolc, Hungary are so cool! We got there first thing in the morning and practically had the whole place to ourselves. Next we visited the exhibits at the Ottó Herman and Pannon Sea Museums. The best part of the day? Entrance to all of these places was completely free with our pass!

My wife is Hungarian and from Miskolc. I've visited the Tapolca Cave Bath Complex frequently since 2003. They are the best commercial hot springs I've ever seen ... and I've seen a lot! For another stunning water experience go to Lake Heviz in January - the largest thermal lake in Europe and yes ... you can swim comfortably in winter.

Oh, I just read about this expedition in the paper today, at least I think it was the same. They will publish a book, and even a movie about the expedition.
Btw new subscriber here, I am amazed by the way you explored my country, how you went to the smaller towns too. You even showed places where I have never been to as a Hungarian... :) I don't know if you plan to visit the south part of the country, but I recommend Szeged, it is my favorite city in Hungary.

The Thermal Bathing Caves are muh childhood favourite. I live here near Miskolc, an' I wuz visitin' that place since I wuz a lil' kid. Of course, back then, the caverns were much less extensive, the bridge section, the lazy river and the planetary weren't built that time. Main thing is, I grew up together with the Thermal Caves, an' it'll alwayz remain muh favourite. Glad y'had a good time here in Hungary, visit us often - you shan't repent it!
