I thought it wasn't the CPU, because the heat spread looked too even, ie, aren't shorts in a chip usually a pin-point hot-spot.

I loved the clamps shorting to vcore ground while injecting voltage. It never crossed my mind to do so. I will do it in future diagnoses. Never lie down without knowing one more thing. Thank you!!!! 🙂
PS: It has been proven that the use of a thermal camera is essential. I need one

It appears both laptops were made by Compal for Dell and Huawei. Compal laptops often have a blue PCB and LA-XXXX numbers on the PCB.

Laptop makers need to protect the CPU & CHIPSET, a simple zener diode protection circuit to drop voltage to ground if the core voltage goes too high, it is less then 10c in parts.

Nice work, Sorin. I have seen a lot of gaming laptops looping when not using their own charger. It seems to be needed because of the higher power requirements of the laptop. When using your power supply they won't boot because of the lack of power.
