my parents force me to help my brother bc he has a slower mind, and i have a faster mind.
but honestly they act like i did absolutely nothing and it just hurts. they give him all the credit as if he did it all by himself. and then when i tell them i helped him theyre like "stop bragging"
and my brother doesnt even say thank you and he acts like im *supposed* to help him. then when i ask my brother something infront of my parents they are like "stop bein so bossy"
when my brother was forcing me to do something just 10 minutes before right infront of them.
they act as if im always gonna be the second option and prob will always be. i hate it so fucking much. then when i fall into depression from stress, they act as if im a dramatic person. and then caused me to have a eating disorder, sh, anxienty, trust issues and way more.

As the “smart kid” I feel like I have to be perfect in everything I do. This has caused me to not be able to ask questions and feel frustrated with myself when I get criticized and get an answer wrong. This has caused me to never speak up about my problems because “perfect people don’t have problems”. I honestly sometimes wish I could just speak about my issues but I feel that I can’t have any. :/

In my entire elementary years I only had 2 friends that only lasted a few months because I realized in late kindergarten that almost everyone will be a fake friend to me because they just want the awnsers. Luckily I made some new friends in my school and yes, they make fun of me at times- but they're pretty nice and will help each other out.

I always have to go through this at school for being the smart person in the class. They always tell me to give them answers and it gets me so stressed out. Mostly in exams and quizzes they always go at me for being mean when I’m trying to do my work. They stay there and do nothing until it comes to the time for important things. I know that there are many people who go through this at school and even on homes. Like people need to understand us pls😕

I felt this on so many levels; everyone thinks we have it easy just because we excel at academics. We make tons of mistakes too and putting up unreachable expectations can really hurt 😞

I remember when it was the middle of the test and someone asked me a question. The teacher was in the room so I just kinda signaled to them that I couldn’t help them then. Luckily they understood.
