The Benefit Album was like a lesson in Philosophy. It is now 45 yrs later! And this song reminds me of dealing with People who I don't understand or actually like. What can anyone say or advise them to think differently or to lighten up?

This is my absolutely favorite Jethro Tull song. The guitar solo at the end still gives me chills to this day!'

A great old tune from a great band..., I'm so glad that one of the principle members is
touring & reproducing it! We need to remember what good songs/groups there were
in the "Golden Age" of prog-rock...,

when I was 15, I heard "With you there to help me"...

Favorite band for 50 years!!

I've listened to this song ...a lot over the decades. Not sure its possible to cover w/o sounding like Ian Anderson. Its just that I can't imagine it w/o THAT VOICE, Benefit and Stand Up are like going to church for me, they've been folded into my spirit so much -- intimate with every song. Went to Goose Lake decades ago, Tull was the last band and it was night during their set. The atmosphere was just thick with nostalgic mystery there in the field with half the crowd gone, trash blankets about, bags of weed just on the ground and I'm stoned. Ian was his elven self out of Dickens back then with the high boots and orange and black tails. The gesturing was in its prime. The songs have a Magic about them, like you were being transported ...somewhere nice. When Muses were being passed out, Anderson got one of the best. For that we are glad.

This is my favourite album too. Nothing to say gives me a kind relief for the inside. I don't know how to explain. It is something that touches my soul

Hard to hear this song without thinking of the powerful voice of Ian anderson singing this tune. Ian's voice was superb in the original release.

Martin Barre is a master guitar player and way under rated. Amazing song catalog ~

Classic Tull. I just wish Martin had a lead singer with some lungs.

The very, very best guitarist of all - and a really nice fellow too. How wrong you were, Mr. Anderson, for ever letting him go - though he seems to be happier than ever these days.

I always felt that the solo should have been longer

One of my favorite songs also... nothing else compares except maybe DCBA by Jefferson Airplane.
