BJP MP Nishikanth Dubey and Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai left the parliament after appearing before the Ethics Committee of Lok Sabha in the “Cash-for-Query” case involving TMC MP Mahua Moitra. Vinod Sonkar, Chairman of the Ethics Committee, stated, “After hearing both Nishikant Dubey and Jai Anant Dehadrai, it has been decided that Mahua Moitra will be summoned on October 31. The committee has also decided to send a letter to the IT ministry and home ministry and request details on the case.” Reacting to Mahua Moitra’s allegations of the BJP performing a political vendetta against her, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey stated, “Whatever I had to say in the matter, I’ve said it in front of the committee. The main issue is whether the ‘Cash-for-Query’ allegations are true or not; the ethics committee will decide.” Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai, after attending the meeting, stated, “I’ve stated all the facts as they were, and I’ve nothing further to say.”
