Heard this for the first time in 2004 on the plane sadly leaving Jamaica. They played it over and over all the way home and I listened to it each time. Came to the states and could not find it. Here I am 20 yrs later grinning from ear to ear.

In the early '80s, my best friend and I were young adults in a rock band playing Zeppelin, Bowie, Beatles, etc. Total long-haired hippy rock guys. We decide to take a brief vacation in The Bahamas. One night, we walk into a nightclub and the dance floor is filled with locals, dancing to this song. We were like: WTF is going on here?!?!? Totally blown away by reggae. Immediately went to the record store and bought this extended play, vinyl single. The bummer is that - once I returned home to The States - I dropped it and the record broke. Thanks aaqilian for posting!

For such a small Island Jamaican influence is universal.

I used to love this song. But know I have diabetes. But Jesus is the great physician.

great example of lyrics and flow making a song great. this track has been used by so many artists but this one tends to stand out because of the beautifully worded and paced lyrics. brilliant flow.

This tune is described in some cd liner notes as 'infectious'.
