Copper Smelting - From Rock to Copper - Backyard Bullion

preview_player
Показать описание
Copper ore like Malachite (Copper Carbonate) can be easily smelted down into base Metallic Copper through a process or reduction using carbon and a propane furnace. We demonstrate how anyone can do this at home with little to know experience or equipment.
Full length video out this Friday at 10am Nevada time ...and yeah, you're gonna get Copper.

Back during WW I, my Grandad Was the general manager of the Bromide Copper Mine on Douglas Mountain, Moffitt County, Co. Because of his extensive mining experience he was made to run the mine rather than be drafted. Later he had his own copper mine claim in the district.
Thanks for the science lesson, Jeff!

This is going to be right up my alley as I refine copper with nitric at home. Just seeing the Base metal turn into liquid and then by putting a iron rod into the solution and watching it turn back into powder ready for melting into bullion is just the best! Just wish I had plenty of that AU to do it with! 👍

I LOVE me some good metal smelting. Makes me want to go fire up my propane blast furnace. Made it out of a 25gal metal drum.

I have a fair amount of copper sulfide minerals my backyard. First time I smelted some, I thought that the copper was gold. Damn, thought I'd be retiring rich and young ... until the copper started to tarnish.

I think I made pendants from pretty rocks like that.
I had one rock, the family stone, and cut a slab for each family member and then made a pendant for each, mounted in silver. Light green center surrounded by dark green.

There is an Alplite mine near me over here but it's invasive I suppose. Which I just learned that rocks can be invasive. Weird. I find it hard to tell some rocks apart. Got to look at them alot more.
