How do we know for part (c), that the index of refraction of the prism is greater than the index of refraction for the water

is it ok if i used snells law for part b? I said the spacing between dots decreases because n increases therefore the light bends towards the normal so the bright spots will be closer together (sin(theta) decreases) (i also mentioned that wavelength decreased but i didnt use the equation L = m*lambda because i didnt know how to use that equation)

Why do we use the density of water times the volume of the block and gravity for the buoyant force in part a ii instead of the density of the block times the volume of the water?

I think it’s better to use index explain the question b such as speed of light in vacuum equals to the index times the speed of light in that medium
