Why won't Nvidia release a new version of this ? The market is defiantly ready again and Nintendo is mitigating it's next gen console. The Shield TV is not really as big as it used to be as it's not really a "console alternative" anymore. A new Shield portable would not only do well but if thought out could coexist in the market very well.

I'm in the UK and got one of these about 6 months back through some tricky mail forwarding malarkey. Anyway, this thing is flipping awesome. Provided you have a rock solid 5GHz WiFi network you can stream PC games through your house - I'm playing Sleeping Dogs at the moment. also - this thing is a mean emulation machine and Android games like Rochard are amazing on it. Battery life is insanely good too (unlike my 3DS) and I hook it up to my TV via a mini HDMI cable. Its a must buy provided you have a good router and gfx card which is the key point.

Hoping for a port to Snapdragon 800 and higher soon. I'll be waiting for the Erista version of Shield, but it'd be great to play these types of games on my phone (with controller) as well. Hoping for a port of L4D2 next.

So can someone explain to me how the shield works? Like can I play my PC games anywhere as long as the PC is on at home and connected to the internet?

If the game itself is moddable, then I'm all for it. My definition of moddable: loadable .bsp mapfiles (unless they had to do a major overhaul of maps in order to pull this off). Hopefully there's support.
