Error 87 The cleanup-image option is unknown {DISM Scan Error} One Simple FIX

Unable to to do DISM scan and getting an error message "Error: 87 The cleanup-image option is unknown" in Windows 10 and Windows 11 can be fixed easily by this simple step. Open Services. Go to Windows Modules Installer. Open it and change it to Automatic. Click on APPLY and OK to confirm the changes. Right click on Windows Modules installer and start the service. Now go back to Command prompt admin/Windows Powershell admin and do the dism scan again! Just restart your computer if you are not able to do so.

This doesn't help if you have no way to get into it. My video card crashed and command prompt gives error 87. There's no way into windows.
