This is a sample video showing how to install Slackware 14 in UEFI Mode and Dual Boot with Windows 8

Step1: Make some space for Slackware 14 in Windows
Step2: Boot Slackware 14 installation disk in UEFI Mode
Step3: Make two partitions in the free space
Step4: Install Slackware 14 in those partitions
Step5: Select Elilo as the default boot loader.
Step6: Boot into freshly installed Slackware 14 and replace Elilo with Grub
Step8: Reboot. Done

Thank you,  Nehal J Wani! Can you tell me if GRUB invokes ELILO here or GRUB loads Slackware directly without ELILO?

I install Slackware64 14.2 in dual boot with Windows 10 in UEFI mode and works fine!

At 11:55 you installed grub into /dev/sda.   Didn't  that overwrite the  Windows MBR.I would only guess you had to do this because the grub couldn't be configured to hand off to Windows ?

clear tutorial.I just wonder why we keep on considering UEFI a standard: it makes installing linux more difficult.

I'm trying to install Slack 14.1, but it doesn't show the elilo option.
