1994 0-60 under 5 seconds damn that's fast. Mitsubishi what happened?

I remember driving home from the dealer in 1994 in my new Mitsu 3000GT VR 4. My girl friend at the time thought the adjustable wing(Acitive Areo) was the coolest thing on the planet. As I remember this car was huge (wide), parking was fun, always parked as far away from the crowds as possible, so I could avoid dings and so I could look at her as I walked towards the car! Fast and fun for the time! Replace my Mitsu Starion and never looked back!

This was such a great car. It was really fast for its time too.

This car was so ahead of its time. Its a shame Mitsubishi doesn't make them like that anymore.

Cannot fathom how this and the Eclipse haven't made a comeback

These cars were mind blowing back in the day, when Mitsubishi used to make cars we all wanted! So damn sexy to this day.

I just love how every single one of these reviews, regardless of what decade they are from, looks like it was discovered in a damp box of VHS tapes in the back of the attic. It just adds to the flavor.

What a beast of a car, even 20+ years later. Those were different times unfortunately and I doubt we'll ever see cars made with soul and passion ever again.

I used to see the car in the car and driver magazine back in the Fall of 1993 Road&Track for the 1994 models.

I miss you 90s Japanese sports cars! I'm 30 now but sometimes I wish I was 30 in 1995 so I could actually buy these things.

japan had 4 great corvette fighters back in the 90's with this, the 300zx, the FD rx 7 and the mk 4 supra. I'm surprised this car and the 300zx aren't higher in price now. Clean examples can be had for well under $30k.

The 90's was a special time like no other in Automotive history with some decent tech & didn't have the emissions regs and less restrictions which is why we have masterpieces like this, the McLaren F1, Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari Testarossa, F50, Supra, Skyline, Mazda Cosmo, 300zx etc Change my mind...

17 inch wheels, while one of the most common wheel sizes today, weren't very common in the 90's! Neither was the 6-speed manual, while it's common today, wasn't as common in the 90's! Add on top of that a digital climate control display, state-of-the-art sound system options with BOTH cassette AND CD players, all-wheel-drive, and tons of other class-exclusive features, and you had a car that was very ahead of its time! (: I'd have a pretty hard time getting past that lemon-and-beige color combo, and that $40k price back in the 90s!
