USB Type C Endoscope Review & Sample Video - AliExpress Cheap $4 Inspection Camera

This is a quick review of a cheap USB C Endoscope / Inspection Camera I bought from AliExpress for £3.50. Bargain!

It has a USB type C connector as well as USB 2 and micro USB. It measures 7mm across for the camera and has a 1m hard cable with a flexible cable end that connects to your Android smartphone. You can adjust the brightness of the LEDs using the inline control.

Iv got the same one of these and my angled mirror was blurry then i noticed it has a tiny protective film over the mirror which made it alot better.

Own similar version, Please inspect the attachments thoroughly before they go down a deep spark plug hole . My magnet and the non magnetic wire holder ended up on the top of the piston, detached from the camera. The Magnetic recovery tool managed to suck the tiny endoscope magnet out of the SS non magnetic wire holder and it, the wire, had to be recovered with the extended Claw tool used by mechanics for similar events . This was entirely my fault and a good lesson was learned . Sharp right angle edges coming out of the sharp right angle edge of the spark plug hole are a problem, some tape may help, the top of the brass end on the magnetic recovery tool was beveled with a file, that made such a difference even working inside the combustion chamber . This cam (had it for years) has a wide variety of applications for all owners to enjoy . cheers

Thanks. I put the usb c in my phone and mothing happened. Thx to you I found that you have to flip the usb clip open. The mirror has an protective cover, which you have to remove for a sharp image

It looks like the mirror has a plastic cover you can peel off? That would explain the poor quality image.

Thanks for your help. My Oppo A91 phone requires the OTG function to be selected for it to work. Settings> Additional Settings> OTG Connection.

Thank you for the recommendation of the app, I have the same cam for months sitting in the drawer that I thought it doesn't work. Also the connecting tip for usb C was very useful.

Just a thought...isn't the prism mirror covered with a protective film? Remove the protective film...try again...I would be very interested in the result....I need to look at the engine cylinder wall...I would be interested if it works! Thank you!

for a real reflective surface on the mirror, remove the protective film.

Yeah, right on... I also got my inexpensive endoscope to work thanks to this video and the obscure app that makes it function. It's probably as good as I'll ever need. 👍👍👍🤠🙃

Hi, you need to strip the protective film on the mirror :)
