I've had 2 of these since the 80's and still working great for band studio recordings!

Incredible for saxophone!!! I play tenor sax, jazz mostly and use a vintage Selmer Mark VI and it is killing it! Can't say enough good things about this mic, well worth the money!!!

Been using this quite a while - nice warm tone for acoustic guitar, and as a voice over mic in our video work.

What’s the difference between this and the 193 don’t they both have the same capsule? Thanks love it

went to my friends studio and he didnt let me use it and we had to stick with my tlm103 or at2020

Hallo, how would you compare the TLM 170 with the TLM 193? Some agree to say they sound identical in cardioid mode or at least really really close, some others, feel they are different mics, because even if they share the same capsule, circuitry are different. I would be grateful if you can share your opinion. Thanks
