The Honeymooners still slaps to this day. I still re-watch the episodes from time to time. Gleason was so prolific. My mom liked him alot too. RIP big guy

This man was part of my childhood. The JackieGleason Show was on every week and I watched it before bed. The Honeymooners was part of that show with a great cast, among them Art Carney and Audrey Meadows. As a kid I could feel the vulnerability of his character underneath the overbearing guy. It fascinated me. I remember the theme music for his show too, very sophisticated and written by him. My father had his albums. He was a talented complex guy, great actor, and weirdly, as a kid, I loved him. He felt like family. The 50's gave us some really great TV shows. I miss what we were back then.

Pow right to the moon! 😂I loved that show. Can't believe it was just 1 season but 39 episodes is like 5 seasons now! I'm 57 but remember it so well. Never knew about his music!

Its hard to believe the Honeymooners was only one season. Im only 42 but i grew up watching Honeymooners because my dad loved it.

I had no ideaJason Patrick was his grandson. Thats cool.

Saw his swan song film w/ TomHanks "Nothing In Common" 1987. My fav saw it on tv 1960s w/o him saying a word "GIGOT". But most mem was watching the rolling credits of, "The Honey MoOners" b4, "The Saturday Evening Movie" came on. The scene was the Miami night sky framed by wind fluttering palms as, "Melancoly Serenade" played.

Jackie Gleason definitely was the great one my favorite movie that he ever did was the movie where he and Tom Hanks played father and son I can't remember the name of the movies since it's been such a long time since I've seen it but I thought it was a great movie rest in peace Jackie Gleason

For A Brief Time in TV Gleason had more Power than all the Networks! "How Sweet it is!" He made south Florida famous. As He Brought it into everyone's Living room during the Holidays & freezing 🥶 Weather. At 8:pm every Sunday night on CBS from Miami Bch. His variety show was #1 for years! Quite the Party Animal, his Train caravan rides were of legendary Fun! An avid golfer Inverrary his golf course was on the PGA tour for many yrs. Unfortunately since his passing that whole area off Oakland Park has seen better days. The Nixon UFO story I think it's true. But will never know definitely. So here's to the Great 1 & Those Great Daze! 🙃
