Ford has started production of the 2025 Ford Explorer at the Chicago Assembly Plant. This model is the latest version of the Explorer, Ford's best-selling SUV to date. The Chicago Assembly Plant has a 100-year history of continuous production and an intensive quality control process was set for the production of this new model. The 2025 Explorer is equipped with advanced features such as a new digital infotainment system, a completely refreshed interior and bold exterior design. It is also the first Explorer to offer BlueCruise, or self-driving technology. Ford's manufacturing operations in Chicago support more than 57,000 direct and indirect jobs and more than 15,000 employees contribute to Explorer production.
