The X5 is a midsize SUV and one of the staples of luxury car ownership for lots of wealthy shoppers. It's an excellently built and engaging vehicle to drive with so much of the best technology found in a road car.

I love your review, both substance and style. I have driven the 45e and quite adored it. I find the ride bumpier than the straight X5, because I suppose of the the battery weight, but the idea of going partially electric until we have more charging stations in the US is very appealing. I subscribed and am impressed.
