I appreciate people like yourself, who take the time to share their experience and knowledge with others. What you where doing doing is awkward enough without trying to film it. Good video well done.

This one is truly a useful advice, my transmission would lock in 2nd gear, and not shift at all, had this problem on mine about 2 yr ago, unfortunately I didn't know this video existed and I spent a lot of money and time in service shops, until someone finally checked and has seen that it's the conductor plate at fault

Fantastic video. Thanks so much. I have a 722.6 on my 2000 CLK 320. It shifts fine once the engine is fairly warm. When the engine is cold it makes a slight jerk when changing up?

Thanks very much for making this. My Vito's 722.6 box goes into limp mode when it warms up, after 20 to 30 minutes of driving. I suspect the conductor plate or a solenoid is failing so hopefully I can sort it like this

Hi. What a great mechanic showing how to do this instead of giving the MB Stealers lots of money. Thank you very much indeed. I do not have any issues with my transmission on my 2010 C200 CDI S204 T Model Estate, and I don`t want them either. I have had many classic brands of Auto cars like MB BMW AUDI / RR / and always worried and dreaded if one day it goes wrong, and I could not afford the Stealer Bill. So now I love my classic S204 and hope it doesn`t go wrong... The massive thing you have helped me with is the stress of knowing you give this information here and now gives me AUTO Trans worry-free I shall have a service done on the Auto Trans now while it is good and enjoy my YOU SO TAKE CARE....

Great video man. just one small point to finish the job perfectly you should have drained the rest of the fluid off that was still within the box and replace with new as you went along. Because now you've got 4L of new oil mixed with 4L of old oil. But great informative video

Good video, but completely bypassed an absolutely crucial part of the process that will surely get anyone that looks at your only your video into potential trouble. You did not mention either during tear down or install that the 7mm bolt in the middle of the electrical connector needs to be removed. If you pull the valve body down with that still in place you will surely break the intermediate connector as well as the conductor plate. Not a big deal if you have a new conductor plate going in, but if you don't have a new connector that will leave you stranded until you have a new one. You also need to remove the intermediate connector (the socket for the plug) in order to not damage the pins when putting the valve body back in place.

Thanks. Most informative. Even if I have someone else do the work, I understand the process.
