The Basics of Making Hay - Raking with a Frontier Hay Rake

Today we need to get the hay raked so we can bale it. We use a Frontier Hay rake. It has a single hydraulic cylinder that allows the rake to fold up for transportation. It is a very simple rake that does an outstanding job collecting the grass into wind rows for me to pick up with our New Holland baler. I'll show you how the rake works in this video. Local dealer has this one basically brand new, able to operate each side individually as well as hydraulic center kick wheel, do you ever have any issues with it plugging up in heavy first cutting ? My rotary shit the bed and neighbor baled me it with Kuhn sr110 which did a great job

Much cheaper to replace teeth. On my Vermeer which is basically the same as yours, a wheel is $200. Teeth are about $1.50 a piece or so.
