It was Francis de Sales who said ‘Goodness does not make noise’. For more than 25 years, the charity ‘Triumph of the Heart’ has sent 2400 trucks of humanitarian aid to countries of the former Soviet Union. These provide daily support for children, the elderly and the poor.
It all started with the ‘yes’ of a Swiss Catholic priest, Father Rolf, who responded to Christ’s call to go on mission in Eastern Europe. Fr Rolf worked with various partners, and Providence also stayed close to him to relieve misery and suffering. This undertaking has also borne the fruits of reconciliation and unity, especially with the Orthodox Church while working for peace in countries experiencing armed conflicts.
