Bora® Tool WTX Clamp Edge Saw Guide System (Circular) Saw Plate

The Bora Saw Plate is designed to work with your WTX Clamp Edge ensuring you get an even more precise cut, with practically no effort. That’s because with the WTX Saw Plate your circular saw cannot drift off course. The Bora Saw Plate is specially designed with an adjustable guide that fits most straight edges securing it in position. Now your circular saw will glide smoothly, and in a perfectly straight line along the WTX Clamp Edge rail. Your saw can’t wander or twist during cutting, so there’s no binding or stalling when a blade goes slightly off line.

The WTX Saw Plate works with any right or left handed circular saw. First adjust the saw’s blade for the depth you want to cut. Then slip the saw’s base plate under the two Plate Clamps and tighten the screws. Slip the WTX Saw Plate onto your WTX Clamp Edge’s and you’re ready to make perfect cuts every time. The WTX Saw Plate works with virtually any circular saw, either right or left-handed. You can rip material up to 50 inches long — or even longer when you add the optional Extension Kit.

I may not be the best person to comment, especially since I have not tried this or similar. A couple of years ago a friend purchased the Festool tracksaw and my first thought was wow it was expensive and not worth the investment. A few months after he purchased his I encountered a SUPER deal from a private seller on the Festool tracksaw. I was offered a try before you buy deal and I took advantage of it. I was SUPER impressed by the accuracy, ease of use, VERY clean cut with no tear out. Needless to say I purchased the saw and HIGHLY recommend it if you are serious about woodworking. The Festool tracksaw has become one of my most used tools and I often think I should have had it years ago. It is one of those tools that you don't know the value until you use it.

Use it with my Dewalt 20 volt cordless, works nearly as good as my nearly 10X more expensive Festool Track Saw as long as you make a scoring cut 1st on expensive sheet goods. Got mine at Lowes on sale.

Aligning the little black blade guide with the cut line was not shown. I would like to see that technique shown.

What if the blade becomes dull and it can't make accurate cuts using the track guide.

Yea, I don't see any kind of protection for reducing tearout. And I could see what appeared to be some really bad tearout in the video. I'd have to say that given features, price and functionality that the Kreg Accu-Cut and Rip-Cut would be a better deal. If this had some tearout protection I'd say this one would be a better deal. I like the Bora brand clamps that I have so when I seen this video come up from WWGOA and said it was Bora I really expected better quality.

This leaves big amount of chip out at the cut. The EZ smart doesn't.

I don’t think I’ve EVER made a negative comment on ANY YouTube Video so I’ll try to maintain that when commenting here. I just bought the BORA® SAW PLATE. The assembly instructions were TERRIBLE. Very dark and blurred. I came here for setup instructions. The proper setup process for the black blade cutting alignment piece wasn’t shown in this Video, nor did this Video show how the Silver Metal Spring Clamp with washers and a wing nut, is assembled. It came separate from the Plate in your packaging. Is there a source for these concerns? My plans were to purchase the Router Plate Guide as well but I want to avoid a similar inconvenience.
