The Departement helps disabled kids, supports poor students and schools in poor difficult environments, with destroying the DOE only the rich become more rich.
Thus, the Department does not
establish schools and colleges;
develop curricula;
set requirements for enrollment and graduation;
determine state education standards; or
develop or implement testing to measure whether states are meeting their education standards.

Getting rid of DOE also means if your state doesn't agree with the rainbow standards; then your state doesn't have to worry about uncle Barak and uncle Joe threatening to withhold state grants for other programs (ie. Hwy funds, SS, state parks, police, fire, etc...).
