I can't wait to be done with Calc 2. Every single problem feels like you have to already know what they answer is before you even try to begin solving it.

Hi Pr,
All those substitution seem so random, I feel like I have to be lucky to come up with the idea of subsituting cotx. Is there an other way of doing it without having to guess the answer in advance?

Is there a way to know what you should use for u, or is cotx just chosen because it makes the proof work

Hello SIr you have been missed. One thing I criticize about that respectfully, is because there not a specific technique like if I am trying this by myself, I would know why I should try letting u=cot x, but great videos and list as always have been. Best regrads :D

how can you let u be cotx if you dont have a cos in the integrand?

Professor, do you use the Magic Hexagon to teach Trigonometry or Calculus in this case? I admit it does not give the solution but it may lead to a hard-to-understand solution as I instantaneously have the final answer for this elementary question.

this is impossible. the substitution is too random

it's crazy how substition method doesn't work when you use ' u = sin x '

∫1/u du dx <---
