John Dowland's Preludium is a really beautiful and very short piece that I always like to play at the beginning of a concert. John Dowland (1563 - 1626) was an English lutenist and composer. He wrote many works for the Renaissance lute. The lute was essentially tuned like our modern guitar, so his music can be played very well on the guitar.
I would like to thank the Lutherkirche in Cottbus for allowing me to make my video recordings in their wonderful-sounding church. It was a great pleasure!
