Good morning Andrew, from Notts, Uk. Had my Grenadier for 4 weeks now, 2 seat van, loving it, tows my ifor William's trailer (3000kg) loaded, no problem, and my tools around 350kg, so far so good, but the tech screen has a few niggles, time will tell. Enjoying the Troopy overhaul. Kind regards, Ben Willey.

Loved the rant about vehicle choice. Recall the conversation we had about the Africa vehicle choice. The Troopy is a platform that you know well and gives you the fuzzy, therefore it is the right choice.
I got to know about overlanding several years after I bought my truck. I wanted to know if my Ram 1500 would be a good tourer and now after seeing Patriot Campers builds, I’m content it is. Would I go for the full canopy build, no.. I want to keep it simple.
I have a Napier Truck bed tent, and simple camping setup that takes about 30 minutes to setup. But I like it. I’m not busy filming or anything. It’s just about enjoying the location.
I’ve got a 4” BDS lift kit installed and 35” tires. It still fits in car parks and doesn’t hinder the daily drivability of it.

Great three hours Andrew. Totally agree with your comments about current Land Rover products. I had to be very careful about opening doors because of the battery drain with my D4. That’s why I have swapped to Land Cruiser after decades of Land Rover ownership.

Thankyou for all your great content over the years Andrew. Would you ever consider doing a build where you convert say an 80 series into a panel van? It would be like a Troopy but with an 80 series drivetrain.

Hi Andrew great show. Suggest you get Mike Patey and Scott Perdue on your show to interview. I think it will compliment your Pipistrel endeavours.

Jesus, man, when you put this black and white thumbnail like this, I thought there was an announcement that you'd died.

Hm, difficult to decide. Granadier would be cool, because it a brand new vehicle that could be bought at a dealer and not only on second market (in Europe). And do something with it what nobody did before, but that is easy, because it is brand new…But I will watch every of your projects and videos. Thanks for it at all.

Hello Andrew. I would love to be at your level overlanding, but I am only a small time offroader in Québec. I have a question for you concerning full size spare tires for vehicles that do not come with them initially. I own a 2023 Crosstrek and love it for what I do, but I want to get a full size spare. I am contemplating getting a rooftop basket and putting the 1or 2 tires on top with cover(s). Is this a viable option for smaller SUVs in your opinion?

On the overlanding trips perhaps get more into the flora & fauna to garner more attention than builds..

I’m guessing a RAM or a Silverado build coming up. It’s big and he likes the look of them, he said both of those comments a couple of times.

So you are not going to build an overland Jimny?

Have you watched the Bus 4x4 video of a 4x4 SLWB Toyota HiAce van tackling Big Red. Awesome

With the amount of upgrades that you have to do to LC 79 series to make them comfortable and reliable for expeditions, can you really call them Toyotas?
I would call them Terrain Tamer 79 series. 😂
