I want to start investing but feel unsure of where to begin. Do you have any simple advice or connections who can guide me ?

I can’t believe Tesla’s stock dropped after that event. I thought their robotaxi announcement would be huge, but investors seemed disappointed.

I'll always need to own my own car because I always keep things in it I use on a regular basis and I will not want to load and unload all of it each time I get a Robotaxi. I'm quite certain I'm not alone in this.

I live out in the countryside and have no need for a robotaxi/cybercab. I need a vehicle to go precisely where I want to position it on my property. It needs a steering wheel for me to do so. I also want to keep MY stuff in MY car. Uber and Lyft don't service out here so why would I wait 30 minutes for a robotaxi to get out here? Where is my low cost Tesla I was promised? It isn't going to be as widespread usage of robotaxi's as you think there will be. There are MANY MANY applications and scenarios where people still need their own vehicles to keep their own items in. Plus there is the inconvenience of waiting for a vehicle every time you need to go to the next location (unless you are in a highly urban area, many of us are NOT). It just doesn't work in a lot of applications.

Explain to me how a cybercab would work in the middle of Wyoming (just 1 example).

I live in a low density area that's a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle. This is one of the last places a Tesla Robotaxi service will be practical because it's likely the closest Robotaxi is 15 to 30 minutes away. This is precisely why there are NO taxi services where I live. Mind you, there is a county bus line that runs along the highway, but the closest bus stop is about 5 miles away and it only goes a few places, connecting the nearby towns. Getting anywhere useful from those bus stops is not a trivial task.

So if Tesla thinks that they're going to switch over to fully autonomous ride hailing in short order, they're probably going to alienate a lot of customers like me that don't live in dense urban or even suburban areas.

I own a Model Y, and I love it. If Tesla stops selling cars, then I clearly won't buy it. But I will own a car until I'm no longer able to own one.

Seriously? FSD doesn't make errors often enough???

V12.5.4.1 is pretty good. But on my car it ACCELERATES AND GOES FOR THE CURB almost every single time the road curves to the left. I can have disengagements every 30 seconds or less.

It's already very useable but this one flaw makes it impossible to use whenever I have passengers in the car. And it just can't keep a steady speed on local roads. It will change speed up and down every 2-3 seconds. This makes driving through a neighborhood so unnatural and even uncomfortable because your body is getting pushed and pulled constantly by the accelerations and decelerations.

I know this is temporary and I believe we will be at SAE L4 autonomy by next June (at least on HW4 cars - I don't see HW3 getting there). But saying today FSD doesn't make enough errors to collect more useable data is a totally absurd statement.

At 7:23, the video mentions that with FSD (Full Self-Driving), the cars don't make mistakes. I agree they don't put you in mortal danger like causing a crash, but sometimes they can be rude or get confused, and there's no button to report that behavior. For example, I have to take over to enter a carpool lane every day because the opening is too small for the system to handle, but it's big enough for me to navigate manually. I wish Tesla would add a "Report Issue" button so we can document these situations.

Also, supervised FSD isn't the same as driverless operation. The driver takes over in slightly dangerous situations, but the car is still being supervised. This means that if everyone used supervised FSD, they could travel five to ten times farther between accidents.

I use fsd every day. I disengage in the city 3-5 times every 10 -15 minute drive

4:40 This is an excellent point. I'm extremely grateful for the "Early Adopters" who bought the Models S and X in 2013. Their belief in the technology allowed for more advanced Teslas...including the fender cameras, which weren't available on the 2013 models. As the public invests more in the technology, it will continue to advance: just as smartphone tech did since 2008.

Yeah, sorry FSD messes up constantly when I use. It’s been worse with this free month than the prior free month.

At 3:00, you say half an order of magnitude is 5 times better. In reality it is 3.16 times better due to how logarithms work (10^0.5 = sqrt(10) = 3.16).
Basically, if this year you make your production line 3.16 times faster and the next year you do the same, your production line will be an order of magnitude faster.

what realy buggs me is that FSD just doesnt work in europ. Why havent they made a FSD team in the Germany plant ? We cant dream of robo taxi cuz FSD is shitty here.

7:00, wrong. Pierre asked a really great question that Tesla sadly didn't answer him on... Elon talked about something else entirely!

If you listen to the earnings call Elon said there is still a different less expensive car coming in the beginning of 2025, he was not talking about cybercab that is a separate thing

People ride dirt bikes for fun, where will that fit in a robotaxi. Where will i put my tent when i am camping? If i unload everything from the robotaxi into my tent, and i go fishing or something my stuff can get stolen. But if i have my car handy the expensive stuff can be locked in the boot.

Also the footage of fsdIve seen has been missing hail, snow, fog, mud heavy rain that clogs the back camera, older road systems with roundabouts and narrow lanes n odd 1 way systems. darkness
