The 2019 Kia Optima Sportswagon PHEV may look like a very normal car, but aside from being one of the most complicated cars we've ever driven it also has a six-speed automatic rather than a CVT, so it might actually be good to drive!

And while electric vehicles are constantly evolving, constantly improving, but could a plug-in hybrid be the right choice when full-EVs lack flexibility?

Have this car and the EV kilometers on a full battery is even more then KIA is promising. Around town I can get upto 67 EV km. I guess that is something like 41 miles. Great car!

Stop marvelling about how all the technology works together, its the same in all hybrids, start telling us more about the recharging time, the space inside, boot capacity, safety, running costs.eople buy estate cars because they need the loading space - this video doesn't show anything of this.

Don't be daft calling this better than a full EV. It's a good plug-in, it's a great car. Unfortunately, forgoing a hybrid drive train for an electric motor in place of the torque converter loses many of the advantages of electrification. Especially when that one electric motor system is unable to charge and power the wheel electrically at the same time.
