Hi Friends,
Weeding is an important agricultural operation which is done for most of the field crops. Factually most of the weeds are C4 plant whereas crops are C3. C4 plants are more effectively uptake nutrients from the soil. So, the crops are deprived resulting lesser yield. So, weeding should be done at time for proper nutrient management.
While soil mulching is the loosening of upper soil. It helps to conserve soil moisture by breaking capillary pores. Here the farmer was doing weeding as well as soil mulching in an onion field manually. Please watch and enjoy.
