The reason I like the Ideapad Gaming 3 is that:
1. Cheaper than the Legion 5
2. Looks (it still has that Ideapad style)
3.Availability (It was hard for me to get the Legion 5 at a normal price because everyone seems got hooked on it by its performance)

I own the i5 10300H / GTX 1650 Ti / 120Hz version, bought it in July, and I have to say that I'm incredibly happy with the laptop. Thank you for this review. One thing I've got to say that you're right about the RAM, and you have no idea how much. The RAM that was in the laptop from factory was a CL21 1x8 SK Hynix stick. I upgraded to a Crucial 2x8 CL16 kit and the performance boost was insane! In games like CSGO, I went from 130-200fps average to over 260 just like that, the startup was also faster for some reason (that might be placebo, actually), and the general smoothness of the laptop increased tenfold.

One thing I have to say, though, is that the fans are indeed rather loud, and without V-SYNC, the laptop has no issues getting to over 90°C in games even such as CSGO. I ordered a cooling pad to help with that.

this is perfect for me because in my country the Ideapad is cheaper by a lot compared to the Legion 5 unlike in the US where there is a small difference

I just ordered my Ideapad 3i - i5 12500H - 8GB DDR4 RAM - 512GB and it's coming tomorrow. I am so excited! I've had a mac for the last 10 years which has been great work, personal, and everyday use, but I have always been bummed because I've missed out on so many cool PC games (I game on consoles and run parallels on my mac but it's very slow).
