I love all Kim's vids and I'm so grateful for them. If you're like me and have watched, learned from and enjoyed her videos,  I highly recommend that you visit her website and support her by buying a few bars of soap. I went to the site and her soap is only $5 or $6 dollars a bar! Like...WHAT!? Store bought soap bars are half the weight of the ones she makes, are loaded with straight garbage and Kim's soaps are loaded with all top quality organic ingredients. And, if you research the prices of all the ingredients used in making these all natural soaps, you'll see just how inexpensive her soaps really are. Honestly, I don't even know how a person makes money doing this! You see how long it takes to make a batch of soap? AND, she never even shows the hardest part of the whole process...THE CLEAN UP! Scrubbing all those crock pots and utensils clean is back breaking work! So please, support her and others like her who are such a blessing to the community for taking the time to share their techniques, secrets and recipes. I know this...if I am ever down in AL. I am definitely going to visit her country store. Kim, you should take a video of your store. I bet there's loads of your fans who would love to see it. I know I would. If you have, reply with a link to the vid. God Bless and TY for all the time you spend making your vids. = )

Suggestion for checking your lye....
First, How I came to this trick/tip:
I work with acrylic & resin sometimes you have to hold your mold over your head and look up (as you did with the lye) to check for air bubbles.
In both cases, checking resin or lye, if you accidentally tip it (easy to do holding it over your head) you run the risk of a spill on your face or eyes causing burns and possible blindness.
That said, here's the tip:
I keep a medium sized mirror near by and when I need to check my acrylic or resin or lye I simply hold it over the mirror!!
Thus reducing the risk of accidentally tipping and it pouring onto your face/eyes.

9:44 My mouth literally dropped when you held that caustic solution over your head.  Please never ever do that again. What if you spilled that on your face. ? I used to work in a lab and that was a big safety error. Always keep it below eye level.

Hi Kimberly, thank you for this fabulous video. I used all the water 24 ozs . How come you measured out that much but only used half? Because the goats milk covers the other half? I’m confused? My soap is cooking but not hardening up like yours ...

Hi Kim, It has been a while since the Essential Depot Event in Atlanta. I just found out that I can contact you like this. I am Maria and my daughter is Iva, of "ivasblends"! We talked at the event. Just wanted to say hi!

This may be a stunned question but how long after you slice this soap would you sell it/use it? I know it is a long time for the cold process way but I wondered about the crock pot way? I like your bubbly personality!

Oh my! That was such a lovely texture right out of the crock pot! I just wanted to run my hands through it while it was still in the crock pot (by the time it was ready to go into the molds). It was so creamy and lovely! Absolutely beautiful soap! I loved it! :)

I do have a question though, is it because of the hardness # (from the soap calc page you showed) for what is causing it to turn so hard in the crock pot like that? I had my soap do that to me twice. The 2nd time, about 10-15 minutes into the cook and it was so hard, I could barely cut into it to stir it. I only have 1 of those small 2 quart crock pots right now, so it didn't give me much room to stir in it. I'm sure once I get a larger crock pot, I won't have this problem anymore. I just wasn't sure what was causing it to get so hard, so fast like that. I guess I need to reduce my hard oils down a bit. I was doing about a 60/40 of hard/soft oils.

thanks for the recipe Kimberely, i wanted to use just cocoa butter as suggested or just shea butter. well it was a different video i was reaching for, the other recipe with just the one butter. but i ended up doing half shea and half cocoa butter. and put in some jojoba oil. im excited to try this when its ready. is used fir needle essential oil. smells excellent. great for winter. oh and i did cold process. thats all i can do right now. ive bought no crock pot in a while. and i put less sodium hydroxide mine is pretty strong.
