The high school I graduated from had ZERO performing arts/regular arts offered, so I didn't really have any outlets available. At 19 about to be 20, I'm really trying to get back into MT because it has been my passion my whole life. My skills are rather dormant due to having zero resources for a few years, but I'm determined!

I live and breathe Musical Theatre! It is all I’ve wanted to do since a young age and I’m currently in my first year of professional training and I’m loving it so much! I love your advice and your videos!!

I know this is an old video but I just clicked on it after being rejected for a show. The message you gave at the end of the video was just what I needed to hear so thank you so much Georgie! It's so rare to find someone so kind in the industry!
Lots of love,
Molly xo

Hi, I’m 14 years old. I was always really shy when I was young, so at the age of seven, my mum signed me up for the local musical theatre school, and I instantly fell in love. I have been doing tap since I was eight, have always been to the local theatre school, have been in choirs. It’s always been my dream. Last year I auditioned for a selective musical theatre class, and do that twice a week, as well as tap and the school play. One of my friends is going off to a performing arts school, and I felt like I wanted to go to one too. But I’ve changed my mind, and decided to stay home and wait until I’m a little bit older! Being on the West Wnd has always been my real dream, and I love watching your videos! Thanks for inspiring me! Xx

I am 20 years old and I've been taking singing lessons ever since I was 15. Music is my life and I have always enjoyed dancing and acting but as a big girl teachers have shown me that I am not good at it and made me feel so untalented that I just crossed that possibility out from my life. But now that I have seen how real life works and a bunch of shitty teachers really have no significance the dream has awakened again. I will be starting dance classes this semester. Wish me luck!

20 years old right now. I've always been very fond of musical theater, but I never really had the opportunity to try it out growing up (I went to a high school that had no art programs whatsoever). Recently, I've really been discovering how much I'm in love with the medium. I really want to thank you for the advice and the motivation to pursue it.

I’m literally crying because I’m nearly 14 and I’ve got myself into the mindset that, due to my inexperience in dancing, singing and acting, I feel like I’ll never make it. I feel like it’s too late for me to pursue my dreams and I’ll never be as good as the people I admire. I’m really shy as well so it’s hard for me to join theatre classes because most kids start at a younger age and they’re already better than me. :(

“The moment you’re about to give up is the normally the moment you’re about to get exactly what you want” I feel so hard because I was going to give up on performing and not audition for my final year school production and I decided to audition and got the lead haha so that is so true

I’m almost 15, i love love love musical theatre it’s been my passion for such a long time and i can’t imagine myself doing anything other performing. The problem is that i don’t think i have the talent. I know everyone says follow your dreams, but realistically, although i would say i’m a good actor, i can’t dance, i can sing but not musical theatre singing if you know what i mean (My mum will pay for singing lessons in a group but not ones on my own, although i don’t think group lessons will be as effective) and i just genuinely don’t think i’ll ever make it. Another great confidence booster was i auditioned for a musical theatre school for age 14-18 and i got rejected. i don’t know what i was hoping to achieve from commenting this but i did it anyway

I just recently decided that I want to study musical theatre but I'm already 16. I've been singing since I was 11 but I've only joined my community theatre last year and I can't dance at all. I'm a bit worried that I started out too late, can I still go into musical theatre because I really really want to do this.

Musical theatre is my true dream. It’s something i want to do forever. I just started and i’m 14. I tried out a few months ago for something and i didn’t make it so i immediately starting taking voice lessons and now i am getting into dancing better too. I’m also working on acting. Thank you for this video! I’m trying so hard to make something so i can do this more at my school and hopefully go to college and get big at it. I love it so much!

I'm Norwegian, and i've only just started singing lessons at the age of 16. Musical theatre is something that i want to do for the rest of my life, but i don't have any training at the moment. Do you think that i can actually make it in London or New York? I'm planning to go to a school in Copenhagen and i am committed to doing everything i can to get better!

I’d love to see a video about your first professional job! Especially because it was Singin’ In The Rain and that’s one of my favourite musicals ever - I’ve just starred in an amateur production of it. So I’d love to hear all about that show and what your first professional experience was like! Love all your videos, by the way! :) x

Hi Georgie, I know this video is a bit old now but I have decided this year to apply for MT at Uni at the age of 28. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since high school so I don’t know why it’s taken me so long. Hoping to become a teacher in this field. I just wanted to leave this comment as it’s never too late to start something, if anyone is in the same situation as me. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been binge watching you ever since 🤗😂 xx

I live in a small country in central america, named honduras
The art industry is pretty small, no musical theather, no schools for it, it sucks
I did a kind of secondary role in a small movie though, honduran movies are not common anyways, I hope I can get more chances to do what I love

I love musical theatre. I’ve been studying acting and music separately and people always ask me why I don’t just study musical theatre and I always lie saying it’s not really my thing because I’m super insecure about combining them lol. I don’t know if I am or if I’ll ever be good enough for musical theatre. But now I’m 18 and I just want to GO FOR IT
