Simple Living | A Slow Winter Morning Routine
💛 Thank you to all for your beautiful support of my channel so far, and please do consider subscribing for weekly slow living videos, it means the world.
Hello friends, I hope youre doing well...
This week I want to share with a glimpse into a morning routine I do during the winter months...and although my routine during the rest of the year can be quite similar, in the colder months I like to take just a bit more extra time and go slower.
I really hope you enjoy watching this and that it also inspires you to perhaps slow down and take some time for you...
All my love,
Lika. xx
-SOS Serum Sunscreen:
-Vegan, Cruelty free moisturiser:
-Sloe Berry Syrup: makes approx. 700ml
~ 1kg fresh sloe berries
~ juice of 1 lemon
~ granulated sugar
1.Wash all the sloe berries and put them in a large pan with about 500ml water. Bring to the boil and then simmer until the berries are soft.
2.Tip the berries into a fine sieve or a cheesecloth and set this over a bowl for the mixture to drip through. Leave this for about 4h or even overnight if you can, but do not press or squeeze the berries.
3.When the juice has finished dripping through, add the lemon juice. Measure the amount of liquid you have altogether and now return to the pan. For every 100ml of juice you have, add 90g of sugar to the pan. Bring the mixture slowly to a boil and then let it simmer to dissolve the sugar fully. Skim off any scum from the top while its cooking and add more sugar if you feel you need to. Once all sugar has been dissolved, remove from the heat.
4.Pour the mixture through a funnel into a clean, sterile jar or container and seal. Keep this in the fridge and use within a month or two. Alternatively, you can pour this into plastic containers and freeze for later use.
