I just bought a 2015 A3 TDI Premium Plus with only 23, 000 miles on it for $15700! THANK YOU Diesel Gate. What the Acura dealership did not seem to realize if the 2015 model year was no impacted :)

If only that Dieselgate scandal hasn't screwed things up for VW, we might be seeing more small displacement diesel engines today. :(

I have an old VW Golf mk5 2.0tdi engine code BKD 2007 and i get around 46-50 US mpg/55-61mpg so in terms of economy the newer models aren't massively different but I completely think the roller bearing for the cams is a great addition to reduce wear, as that was always a weak spot if the car was poorly maintained. Also turbos were always a point of failure for VW so the reduction in distance from the engine and thus oil supply will help with reduced oil starvation on startup and oil service fills.

I consistently get high 40's to low 50's mpg, depending of type/conditions of driving, on my 2015 Jetta TDI SEL.

I have a 2015 Audi A3 tdi with this engine at 65, 100 miles and it's still running strong. Only thing happened is the def injector busted and leaked def the entry point to the exhaust. Cost $653 to get fixed, plan to delete it soon.

I have 47 mpg on my Octavia. Acceleration is also good, 8.5 sec

Since the "FIX" my 2015 VW Passat TDI, 6 speed standard, is averaging around 500 to 530 miles per tank, and it was around 600 plus miles per tank. Some great "FIX, huh? The only reason I have seen for MANY years, (since 1979) to purchase and drive VW's was for the economy. No more recommendations from me to anyone to buy VW.

Question for SeaCronos. Did you register this VW TDI 2.0 Sportwagen in Mexico? Or in the US? If in the US, was difficult to register your car?

Good thing I stuck with the EA189. After getting the fix, the car ran like shit. I would get close to 900KM to a tank, with the fix it dropped down to 600km to a tank. Ive noticed that the EGT would spike from 400~700 degrees Celsius every 15 minutes. I removed the whole emissions system, installed turbo back straight pipe and reflashed to a stage 2 tune. Now I'm getting close to 989kms to a tank, 900~950 kms when driving it hard. My best so far is 3.8L/100KM. My recommendation is get a EA189

I think older engine has less problems with my experience had 1.9 tdi that was my best engine I now mk7 gt 2013 is fun to drive but I think it not last in.my opinion

I serviced my 2015 Passat in The Autobarn Volkswagen of Mt. Prospect and they loaded diesel scandal software onto my car !!! do I have a court case against them ?
