The World War 2: The Fall of France

At the beginning of the Second World War, everyone underestimated the Third Reich. This especially impacted France, the country to fall under the pressure of German troops in the first place. In the video, we follow the first months of WWII from France’s perspective, including the famous Maginot Line and the wartime collaboration the French had established.

I always wondered what would happen if France never surrendered and fought for every inch all the way to the city of Marseille then evacuate to north africa and keep on fighting

I'm guessing it would have been great and better for the british and allies later on

De Gaulle led in 1942 the greatest colonial empire on earth and had an army of around 2 millions men. The war was not over for France as she mainly by herself invaded all Italy that the UK and the US could not defeat and managed the first line of fight in western front. I'm only half french, but i really love history of this country.

Who in the hell grew up your world war two border map ? You should fire them for they know know their history or geography of the. The German Reich included Austria and the Sudetenland which were not occupied territories but joyfully joined the German Reich being Germans themselves.
