Part time manager!? You're working 6 days a week half of the time. Between your job and your channel, I feel like you have 2 full time jobs. You are a hard working lady.

It sounds like you've gotten to the point where, instead of the clutter being reassuring, it's become a burden. That's a big step! Congratulations, Ms. Heart!

Also congrats on including two bins from the storage facility. This is a big new step 🤗

A little motivational story: A few years ago we decluttered a pile of clothes, bags etc. and brought the to donate. Since I have hoarder tendencies (my mum was one, her father etc.) I was very distressed but the things had to go. So all the things went to a donation center and one day I was walking past a shopping mall that was more far away than my usual one I go to and I was having these thoughts "If I could see that the donation would be useful so I can be sure of myself that someone benefits from them" and not 2 min later I saw a elderly woman who had a very unique totebag with her and I looked at it and it looks like it was one specific bag from out donation pile. What are the odds? I asked myself this totebag was purchased around 18 years ago and there was only one as far as I remember. I took it as a sign that God was telling me: "it's okay to let things go/ it helps others that don't have as much" For me this was a very powerful moment.

I love that you pointed out to first let go of anything that does not spark joy. That makes so much sense to someone like me! I have well over a thousand clothing items. I am completely embarrassed about it. My sister recently died and it’s up to me to decided what to do with her things. She has a nice sized house, but a teeny tiny closet -but she ALWAYS looked absolutely fabulous and put together. When I went into her closet to decide what to do …I was shocked at how well organized she was and what little clothing she had. She was a master at organizing and always looked perfectly dressed. I’m very sad about losing my sister, but in a way - she is helping me tackle my clothing problem from heaven. She’s also probably looking down on me thinking why in the heck do you have so many clothes!? We both had some psychological issues due to our abusive upbringing. She liked wine too much, and I liked clothes. It was a way to soothe our pain :(

You have done a lot of work in making you and your family secure. Paying off debt, doing repairs to the home, saving money, reducing your spending. Having long lasting relationships and family these are all ways of making you more secure. You put in the work so I am glad you can enjoy the results.

Thank you so much for humanizing hoarding and explaining the reasons behind it. You're doing it really well!

For those that are easily overwhelmed by a large amount of clothes, I suggest decluttering a category of clothing at a time. Whether the category be by activity it’s used Or by type for instance leggings.

Tip for the town giving page. Put everything in bags (I have been using big reusable grocery bags that have built up over the years and I don't need) and give the general size of the clothing; a bag for tops, bag for pants, bag for dresses, and then tell people they can take the whole bag to go through at home and then THEY can pass it along to someone else or donate the rest. Soooo much easier.

When I finally retired, I packed up two car loads of clothing and dropped it off to Goodwill. They were in shock! They thought I was cleaning out a consignment shop, lol. I said no, I love fashion and stopped buying so much clothing. I still had a good amount left, but relieved I could help many women get quality clothes at cheap prices. You got rid of so much, excellent video!

Is this the first time you mentioned having things in a storage beside your home? I am not sure why but this surprises me. You are getting so much progress done in the basement but now I wonder will there be a storage facility series 😯

I want to thank you for launching me on my hoarding & clutter journey. At this point, I still need to hear the message of recovery every week. I can still hear the mental noise that something is wrong with me, I am a “lazy slob” or worse. Then I hear your lilting voice saying that you are ok, I am ok, it is a mental disorder that needs de-programming, bit by bit.
And I am over the moon that I am beginning to see progress. Only a little bit, but it is a healthy start. I now have a cleaning lady that comes every 2 weeks & brings with her a positive, non-judgmental context. I get to be in control still.
This really motivates me positively. My front room is nearly there. The kitchen is starting to have clear worktop spaces.
I actually cleaned the bathtub in my newly redone bathroom — before it looked like it needed it!
I have hope, and you started me on my journey.
Thank you 💝
This was a big breakthrough.

Ms Heart!!!! I found your videos watching your first "when a hoarder TRIES" the Kon Mari method on your clothes years ago and it was an instant subscribe because of your authenticity and openness. It's been such a pleasure watching you grow in your journey and I audibly gasped when I saw that massive tossy tossy pile behind you today. Congrats and great job. You should be so proud of the impact your making 🤍☺️

I LOVE how you explain the limbic system and mental health component as to how hoarding comes about and how to work on healing from a holistic perspective with gentleness <3

Amazing, isn't it??!! You will find it so much easier with less clothing...easier decisions to make about getting dressed, easier tidying the bedroom, easier laundry...stress goes down...it truly is amazing what happens as a result of decluttering. Plus, you are blessing other people with the clothing! Well done!
