Why didn’t they just raise this bridge if it’s been destroying trucks for years? Well, this is a railroad bridge in Durham, North Carolina known as the 11-foot-8 bridge or "The Can Opener. It is famous for ripping off the roofs of trucks that are too tall to fit through its low clearance.
After decades of accidents, authorities only raised it eight inches as a full redesign was simply too costly and complicated. which was not enough to prevent all crashes, And if you’re wondering why they didn’t just lower the road. Well, that wasn’t an option either because of the presence of significant underground pipes and sewer lines underneath it.
But To reduce further crashes, authorities installed flashing warning signs and a detection bar that alerts truck drivers before they reach the bridge.

The government can do as much as it wants, but if drivers are too blind and stupid to read or see a red light, it's their own fault.

It's costly to redesign but it's extremely simple to send our money to Israel
