I already loved Amy Goodman for years...but Jeremy's work and relationship with her...and Jeremy's antecedents...this was a FASCINATING interview. Extremely well done. The work Jeremy has done on Dirty Wars and Blackwater and and and...his resume is awesome. His work ethic undisputed...when you listen to him and Ryan Grim and Amy Goodman and yes..Yaniv Kubovich...Haaretz is a great outlet. I love the point Jeremy made about Democrat's accountability... I love that he said journalism is a working class job. I graduated w a journalism degree about 10 years ago but was kinda disgusted with how the media and my class peers viewed the profession. They all wanted to be famous.

And my teacher, who won multiple pulitzer prizes while working in Detroit, once told me to always be wary of a journalist with famous and powerful friends. That always stuck out to me for some reason.

Scahill is one of my heroes in journalism. I have all his books in my room, saw the documentaries he did and follow his work for almost 20 years now.
He's one of the best we have in this field and in case one doesn't want to read that whole book. Watch the dirty wars documentary. It is astonishingly good but also quiet tragic. I would live to be a paid subscriber and support their work at dropsite but I can't afford it at the moment
