The owner of this place was calling for arrest of pro-democracy student activists. He also encouraged those who don't like the Thai ruling class to boycott his resorts. A very easy suggestion to follow - I wouldn't visit even if I had the money.

The place is Ok, however nothing special. Maybe it's just the terminology The Thaiger is using. I'd agree it could be deemed 'Exclusive' if you consider a McDonalds to be an 'Upscale Restaurant'.

too fancy for me. a good bed and a good working bathroom is enough for me. everything else i get elsewhere.
i don't feel comfortable in a golden cage where the stuff is payed to smile all the time but not allowed to talk what they think. that really makes me fucking uncomfortable.

you need to stop doing these videos, u have no idea what a 5-star luxury resort is...once again this is more akin to a 3 or 4-star property. It pays to have someone with some experience in the hotel industry doing this segment it makes the Thaiger look uninformed.

Fantasy paid puff piece, unaffordable for most. When things open up, I could rent a one bedroom apartment near Cha am for around $20 AUD per night.
Local, relaxed, realistic style and budget, not some privileged "rich" delusion.
