Distinguished ceramicist Matilda Moreton has produced a small edition of Delft style barber’s bowls which exquisitely replicate the one Simon Pettet made for The Smoking Room.

The bowl’s elegant oval shape incorporates a semi-circular cut-out to fit snugly against the neck and a round indentation for a soap ball.

The words 'Mr Jervis His Bowl' are inscribed around the lip and the bowl itself is embellished with illustrations of barber's equipment including a razor, a pair of scissors, a comb, a sponge and a brush.

Every bowl is unique. Each one is traditionally hand made and painted free hand by Matilda, giving it a delightful character all its own - just like 18th-century Delft ware.
