Everyone talks about the 20 million NIL payout but that’s only the 5th highest NIL payout in the country. I believe Oregon’s was higher. OSU’s AD was the only one crazy enough to admit the cost.

Oregon spent 23 million. Why isn’t this a topic.

Both Oregon and Texas outspent OSU on NIL...

Texas spent $23 million, Oregon $23 million, LSU $20 million, Bama $18 million, Georgia $17 million
so what’s your point?

Oregon spent more than OSU on NIL so not really an excuse

You have to understand that this was the year to beat Michigan. Michigan is down and Ohio State players stuck around just to beat Michigan. Day didn't
use his weapons against Michigan and played right into their strength. Ohio State fans were justified to be upset with that loss, there was no reason for it.

The 20 mil was primarily spent keeping the players they already had, and their freshman phenom WR..outside of Howard, Judkins, McGloghlin, Sayin, and Downs.

Love you Dan, but total bs take. Ohio State spent most of their “NIL” money on keeping their own players. They didn’t bring in any DL transfers, come on man!

The media hating on OSU cause the SEC is done...the Big Ten is the new power house

1. Oregon has spent more $ on their roster this year than Ohio state.

2. Ohio state is about #11 in NIL funds used this season…

Not sure why the media pretends money is the reason Ohio state is good—-coaching—-years and years of recruiting success—-producing too NFL talent —-

Do better

OSU offensive line is actually our weak point. We didnt pay half of the guys playing right now. Chip Kelly scheme to run on the outside and have throw first offense has transformed the team. The defense is clicking

I’m a IU fan n big ten fan. Why ppls r making excuses for OSU win cause NIL money? They r not even top 3 on NIL. It’s not fair for OSU. Give them credit they deserve!

This idea that Ohio State paid for player, $20m, but Oregon had a $23million NIL budget. Georgia and ND aren’t far behind.

What's surprising is Ryan Day might have FINALLY figured out how potent the offense can be when he doesn't coach tight and scared like he does against Michigan.

OREGON SPENT MORE ON NIL THAN OHIO STATE!! Christ, this media driven narrative that OSU just "bought" a good team is infuriating. Ol' Miss also spent more .. Texas .. LSU .. Alabama .. etc. Ohio State ranks #11 in NIL spending!

How much are referees being compensated for NOT calling holding penalties on opposing teams playing against Ohio State defense ??

OSU'S NIL money went to players that had already been there. Jeremiah is the one new player that got a nice NIL deal but the rest, for the most part are veteran players.

You don’t understand the fanbase? If it wasn’t for the fanbase, wed never have seen this version of Ohio State.

Other teams spent more than Ohio State on NIL, but you never hear about it… and most of the Buckeye money was spent on current multi-year players and not the portal. This is what NIL was intended to be. The implication is that the Buckeyes won because they bought players, instead of rewarding 4-5 year players is irresponsible, but it’s a recurring narrative. I’m not a fan of current NIL and transfer rules, but rewarding your existing team over paying transfers is the right thing to do.

There are other schools that spent as much or more in NIL than OSU.
