Up-Close Encounter with a Sperm Whale

Показать описание

Sperm whales migrate throughout their lives and are found in all deep oceans. They routinely dive 2,000 feet deep, though they have been known to go even deeper.

The rake marks or scars that you see on the sperm whale’s skin are teeth marks often left by orcas, other sperm whales, and even sharks.

So much valuable life below the waterline that humans take for granted.

Those scratches all over it are from giant/colossal squids

The sperm is clearly very old seeing how many scars he has, and think how massive it is, It’s clearly a very old sperm whale, my guess is about 20-21 meters long and 87.89-118.12 tons maybe even 24-25 meters long and 151.87-199.29 tons? But the likelihood of it being in the upper range is very low.

What a beautiful creature. If I'm not mistaken aren't they the loudest animal on the earth? If it makes noise will that kill you?

Imagen if you were there they can kill you in a second their masive head with that head they can do a click which is the loudest sound in the world maybe not bc the loudest sound is the two black holes coliding.
(Fun fact with their click they can now if there is a predator near like a sonar.)
