Am I being to passive/scared in dealing with the Malevolence? Should we be more aggressive in attacking it? Or have we been handling it about correctly? Let me know in the comments below!

The answer to your anti-fired fighter question is yes half fighters that intercept as well as dedicated ships for fighter screen

Okay well I finally have something of note to add as a suggestion since you were kind enough to ask about fighter use.

#1 select all fighters is fine so long as you also only have max 3 fighters going for one target so as to not overkill and waste potential dmg. So basically select all attack click probably an enemy bomber then hold shift or control and left click the portrait to remove some from the selection then repeat.

#2 Please have a bunch of fighters zone/screen your mainstay shits. Ill elaborate a little, to make sure that it is probably enemy bombers dont get off their payload stay the proper distance ahead of your capitals and in-between the enemy bombers and their pray. Dont recommend you try that with all of them as that will probably be a management nightmare and go poorly so just do it with 3 tops.

That is all for now good video :)

To answer your question, maybe use the Praetor-Mark I Battlecruiser with full firepower(Only Relies on Starfighter Complement) or with full carrier(Relies on the Praetor-I, Venator-Class and Acclamator-Class Variants as Carrier/Destroyer Purposes).

So that's why they are to quiet. They have built their forces.

Suggesting you build the Pelta-Class Medical Frigate and the Star-Galleon Class Cruiser with the green cross sign as it can be used as fleet tender(Repairs Hardpoints and Starfighters) and usage of a Gravity Well Ball Generator. The problem with the CIS, is that they excel in Long Range Siege Lasers of the Munificent-Class Star Frigate, Recusant-Class Light Cruiser and the Recusant-Class Dreadnought.

In the Battle of Emberlene, if you are attacking and going full firepower with limited starfighters, don't send them out and probably defend the fleet first for screening or anti-starfighter duties. Same goes towards your fleet with only full firepower with limited starfighters.

You can destroy the Subjugator-Class Heavy Cruiser if you are willing to use the Praetor-I with a decent fleet behind in with the likes of the following:

Venator-Class Star Destroyers(Hybrid Role Obviously)
Victory-I Class Star Destroyer(Shield/Hardpoint Damage)
Acclamator-Class Assault Cruiser(Mix With Either Assault or Carrier Loadout)
Pelta-Class Medical Frigate or Star-Galleon Class Frigate(Fleet Tender and Interdiction)
Light Assault Cruiser, CR90 Corvettes, DP20 Gunship/Corellian Gunship(Anti-Starfighter Duties)

Be warned, the Lucrehulk-Class Battleship excels in Fleet Combats as it is a fleet killer but not anti-starfighter. Don't be mad at losing the Invincible-Class as you will get them via Carida Academy back. Also, you eliminated Admiral Trench! Fighting big fleets? Use tactics like hit and run or defensive positioning.

For that battle vs the Malevolence theres alot to break down.

K #1 we know your going to lose ships no matter what tho what is less certain is how many and which so Id recommend PICKING which by putting them at the front as your vanguard NOT TOO FAR FORWARD just enough to make sure 90% of the enemies fire for the first 1-2 vollies is on only that buying you time to position things for a finishing blow.

#2 Malevolence historically gets boned with low engine power so target that and it wont be really able to shoot you with the big elector wave. PS like common bombers to its engines within the first 20 seconds or your win trading :P

#3 since target clicking with your main ships makes them close in Id seriously recommend considering if its not just best to use that as a last resort and instead move and let them focus closest target so as to not suicide charge!

#4 Uh if you want bombers not ded n waste then first have them path around the enemy fighter blob AND have like 2-3 fighters flying escort :P

Thats about it
