Hi there, thanks for sharing your review! So glad that you’re enjoying the Pure Skin Cleanser! We wanted to clarify about the glycolic acid in the formula of our Pure Skin Toner. While glycolic acid is widely known for its exfoliating properties it is also a humectant. Glycolic acid chemically attracts and holds onto water molecules providing hydration to the skin. In our Pure Skin Toner we use a mindfully small amount of glycolic acid to provide hydration without irritation. Hope this information is helpful! ❤❤

I really think it is time for skin care companies to begin disclosing the percentage of active ingredients like any acids. I like the Alpha Hydroxy brand of glycolic acids because the label clearly states the percentage. I like Paula's Choice as well, for the same reason. Consumers need to know! We have gotten to the point where many of us use skincare to customize our approach to better skin. We want certain ingredients but unless we know how much of an ingredient is in a product, we often risk skin irritation, break outs or an allergic reaction.

This video made me really grateful that my sensitive skin loves niacinimide! I didn't realize so many people find it irritating. It makes my skin glow!

This line looks great, especially as a cruelty free cerave dupe that so many look for.

I just ordered the mini set off their site and then saw that she had posted this! She really is always one step ahead of us. 🤣

When she said irritation with chamomile, I completely relate to that. Recently I bought a moisturizer with chamomile in it from the brand "Yves rocher" and it was fragrance free. When I put it on my face, my skin was burning like hell and it was all red, so much that I had to recleanse right away and put my regular moisturizer to calm it down. So yeah, not because it's fragrance free that you should not be aware of the other ingredients that can be irritated. By the way, when you try a product, try it on a small spot of your face, not on your hand because everything was fine when I tried it out on my hand.

Christmas was the launch for my 11 1/2 yo great niece's introduction to skin care. I had no reservations in starting her with e.l.f. cleanser and moisturizer. Just the basics, with a hair band and little sponges to cleanse with. A 2 sided mirror accompanied her goodies. All in pink, of course! I really like the e.l.f. products I've tried. Setting powders, primers, and Holy Hydration which is AWESOME!

Happy Friday! Thank you for an honest opinion about Elf products. They're available in most stores and are affordable. It's good to have your reviews on a variety of product lines and prices.

Just wanted to say that you have been a tremendously positive influence on my life. My sleep routine and food choices have never been better. And of course, I apply and reapply sunscreen religiously 💖💝

Yes 100% for companies that are cruelty free. So many parent companies of skin care and makeup are NOT cruelty free and it’s because they sell in China. Thanks for your review.

Thank you for your videos Dr. dray! Would you consider reacting to a recent SLATE article that claims “your skin doesn’t need skincare” I think it would be great to see your perspective.

I desperately wish brands would stop putting niacinamide in absolutely everything. It breaks me out so much and it's not a universal ingredient at all. 😩 I've been curious about Elf and have heard great things about their skincare, but I think their other lines have niacinamide as well. They're just repeating themselves.

Glycolic acid not only exfoliates, but also hydrates dry skin. Categorized as a humectant, glycolic acid chemically attracts water molecules to itself. This means glycolic acid can replenish the skin with new, yummy moisture.

The glycolic acid in the products is most likely only for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes so it shows up when people look for that ingredient as well. Glycolic acid is the most popular exfoliating acid in skincare… as of late. PHA would have been a much better option for this line, though.

Yes!!!! I've been waiting for this review! Thank you so much for a great review. I've started recently with tretinoin and needed a soothing yet affordable morning cleanser and moisturizer with ceramides. After a week of use, I can say for me they are holy grail! I have sensitive oily acne prone skin and these are both so soothing. I didn't risk the toner when I saw the glycolic acid. I'm having the best makeup days now. The moisturizer soaks in and is matte finish. The pumps make use easy. For me these are better than the aveeno oat line, which was just meh for me. I couldn't use the elf holy hydration because it breaks me out, my skin hated that elf line, I think it's the squalane. This is cheaper than cerave. The moisturizer is the bomb for me, so it just goes to show everyone's skin is different.
