Kris spent her childhood running around the family farm in Florida and making up songs with her twin sister in their treehouse.

In 2017, she collaborated with Morgan Taylor Reid & Alexander Cardinale on "Heartbreak is Contagious" EP which debuted in the Top 10 of the iTunes Singer-songwriter chart & earned Kris Best Female Artist in the IAMAs & Finalist in the ISC. "Pieces That Were Stolen" was released in 2018 & debuted at #3 on the iTunes s/s charts.

In 2019, Kris played in all 50 states, was chosen for the Grammy NEXT program. "That Siren, Hope" came out in Jan 2020 debuting at #1 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts & as the highest ranking independent release on Billboard Top Current Albums at #79. The video for the title track was premiered by American Songwriter Magazine and the album is climbing the Americana radio charts.
